Exodus 15 — Sketch
The Lord Who Heals You
Big Idea:
Moses leads Israel in a song of praise to God in which he calls God a warrior with a strong right hand that shatters enemies.
Miriam grabs a tambourine and leads the women in a song as well.
The Israelites travel into the desert for three days without finding water.
They finally come to the waters of Marah, but the water is too bitter to drink.
God tells Moses to throw a piece of wood into the water. When he does, the water becomes sweet.
God promises, “I am the Lord, who heals you.”
Later, the Israelites come to the oasis of Elim.
Jesus in This Chapter:
Just as the wood entered the bitter water and made it sweet, Jesus enters our sinful hearts and makes us holy. Jesus makes us new.
