Genesis 24 — Sketch
Finding The One
Big Idea:
Abraham sends his chief servant back to his home country to find a wife for Isaac.
The servant goes with camels to the town of Nahor and stops by a well.
The servant prays for God to show him the woman for Isaac by having her offer to water his camels.
Rebekah offers to water the servant’s camels.
The servant gives Rebekah a nose ring and bracelets and speaks to her brother, Laban.
Rebekah’s family is reluctant to let her go right away, but she chooses to go.
While meditating in a field, Isaac sees the servant coming with Rebekah.
Rebekah gets off her camel and goes to Isaac.
Isaac marries Rebekah.
Jesus in This Chapter:
Abraham sent his servant to bring back a wife for Isaac, and God sent Jesus into creation to bring us back into relationship with Him.
