The Tabernacle Complete

Big Idea:

• Israel builds the Ark of the Covenant.

• Israel builds the bread table.

• Israel builds the lamp stand.

• Israel builds the incense altar.

• Israel mixes the anointing oil.

Jesus in This Chapter:

• The Ark of the Covenant was where God’s presence rested with Israel.  Centuries later, God would dwell with us again, because Jesus was Immanuel – “God with us.”

• The table held the bread.  This bread symbolized Jesus being the Bread of Life.  Today we use bread to remember how Jesus’ body was torn like bread to give us life.

• The lamp symbolized Jesus as the Light of the World.

• The burning incense was a fragrant sacrifice to God – Like Jesus was when He gave up his life for us.
