Exodus 38 — Sketch
The Courtyard Complete
Big Idea:
Israel builds the sacrificial altar.
Israel builds the washbasin.
Israel builds the courtyard.
Everything is made from the offerings Israel brought.
Jesus in This Chapter:
The basin was where the priests would wash before entering the Holy Place. This was symbolic of how Jesus cleanses us of unrighteousness.
The altar is where sacrifices were made. These sacrifices were foreshadows of the ultimate sacrifice for sin – Jesus.
The courtyard had only one entrance – on the east side. Likewise, there is only one way to enter into a right relationship with God – Jesus.
