Promise Fulfilled

Big Idea:

• God gives Abraham and Sarah a son. His name is Isaac.

• Abraham sends Hagar and Ishmael away, but God protects them.

• Abraham and King Abimelech resolve a dispute about a well and form a treaty.

Jesus in This Chapter:

Sarah gives birth to Isaac even though she has been unable to conceive all her life and is past the age of childbearing. Years later, a virgin — another woman who should not be bearing a child — gives birth to Jesus.⁠
